Article by Phoenix writer Lauren DeRiggi ’24:

Throughout the month of November, Latin School C.R.O.S.S. hosted its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Students brought non-perishable food items into their homerooms to give to the less fortunate through local parish food pantries. The food was then collected by Marianist Leaders and members of Latin School C.R.O.S.S. to be tallied and sorted.

Although all homerooms greatly contributed to the food drive, homerooms 6B, 6D, 7B, 7D, 8A, 8C, and 8F stood out, bringing in more than 200 items each. Homeroom 7D collected the most items at 388, followed by homerooms 8C and 6B with 324 and 314 items, respectively.

This food drive allows for thousands of people and families to have a proper meal at Thanksgiving, and it would not be possible without the generosity and support of the Latin School. The tireless efforts of Latin School C.R.O.S.S., the Marianist Leaders, and the homeroom moderators allowed for another smooth and successful Thanksgiving food drive.
