What does Advent mean to me? Advent is a time of preparation. Our world today can be so focused on the end result: If I cheat, can I still get an A? If I speed, can I still get to work on time? In the glorious waiting of Advent, we are awaiting the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! There’s no need to rush. Advent is a peaceful ladder to the day of the arrival. We wait with joy in the presence of our loved ones, as we pray and anticipate Christmas. Jesus Christ loves us and wishes us well, and this prayerful time should embody that love and hope for His Coming that He intended when He made us in His Image and Likeness.Merriam-Webster Thesaurus defines advent as arrival or coming. Although it’s an unfortunate illusion in modern times, this is not the coming of presents, but the coming of Salvation. Gloria to God in the Highest! He is Born!Merry Christmas and God Bless!
