At Six Flags Wild Safari Invitational, the animals weren’t the only ones running wild. The Kellenberg Firebirds ran all over the competition and took first place in the Varsity Race. Junior Josh Michel and Senior David Lozipone finished simultaneously coming in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Not far behind was Senior Francis O’Brien who finished in 6th place. Rounding out the top seven was Thomas Mckenna, Evan Forero, Dylan Ambroise and Andrew Suarez. The team averaged a time of 16:43, which was the fastest of all the teams racing, which included highly competitive teams from 6 different states.
