Lenten Prayer Reflection by Brandon Carroll

Luke 1:26-38
In this gospel reading, the angel of Gabriel told Mary that she will
conceive a son. Mary was very confused because she has had no
relations with a man. The Angel told her that through the power of the
Holy Spirit it will happen and it will be the son of God. Also, the
Angel told Mary that Elizabeth will conceive a son too even though she
is barren. Mary was very confused at first, but then she had faith in
God and accepted it. We must all have the faith Mary had in God. We
must trust in his plan for us and not doubt him. Mary was at first
scared and confused but then she knew God had a plan and accosted what
the Angel had told her. All of us need to learn to trust in God this
Lenten season.
